First Thanksgiving - for Max and Mommy

On our way home from the Geekend conference in Savannah - Matt's thing, not mine - Max wants to play the peg game at Cracker Barrel - eager beaver :)

My parents came down to celebrate Thanksgiving with us, which was my first preparation. Good thing it was only the 5 of us, although I was really pleased with my first effort - with many thanks to mom! Carrie wasn't at Epcot with us to take a picture with the troll at Norway, so Dad stood in in her place.

This picture is in a conference room at EA - yes, they have a ball pit in the conference room. I wonder if anyone at EA ever gets any work done, I know I'd spend all day in the ball pit. This was the best picture of Max. He started crying as soon as he went into the pit with us, scared of the sound and being surrounded by colorful balls I guess.

Max took photos with lots of characters at Universal, but Curious George and the Man in the Yellow Hat were his favorite. He also saw Scooby and Shaggy, Homer Simpson and Woody Woodpecker and his wife - what is Woody Woodpecker's wife's name - I kept calling them both Woody...
Max let Grandpapa carry him all the way from the park exit back to the car. It was a long walk but Papa toughed it out since it was one of only two times all week that Max was happy to be held by someone other than his mom or dad.

This was actually the third time Max let Papa hold him, although he was eager to get back to mom. We're smack in the middle of a major bout of separation anxiety. The cure...off to daycare 3 times a week, and mom will actually get a couple workouts in.
Max has become pretty mobile lately, rolling all over the place, falling forward (close to crawling) and pulling himself up on furniture. This play session started with the playmat out of his reach, and ended about 20 minutes later like this, in the aftermath of a toy tornado :)
